2003 Competition Winner

dhk Architects were commissioned by Irish developers Eurocape to complete this first phase of a broader urban renewal scheme as a result of limited five practice competition. The site is a city block bounded by St Georges, Church, Burg and Wale Streets.

The brief was to realise the full available bulk whilst creating a vibrant mixed-use inner City Development. The site comprises of a number of buildings from differing eras, heights and historic significance. In principle most of the existing buildings have been retained in whole or in part to maintain the existing streetscape and historical integrity of the precinct.

The entire complex comprises some 180 luxury apartments and penthouses and approximately 300 parking bays. The character and interior design was assigned to three companies ESDH, Hot Cocoa and dhk Interiors who worked in close conjunction to create interiors that responded to the unique qualities of the individual buildings whilst maintaining a consistent design thread.
