Drostdy Hotel scoops Eastern Cape Institute of Architects Regional Award

The redevelopment of the Drostdy Hotel in Graaff-Reinet by dhk was recognised with a Regional Award for Architecture from the Eastern Cape Institute of Architects at a ceremony held in Port Elizabeth last night.

“We’re delighted that the Drostdy Hotel has been recognised by the Institute. It was a significant project in terms of its rich heritage and required sensitive restoration alongside contemporary architectural design to create a seamless 5 star luxury hotel experience,” said Renske Haller, managing director of dhk, who led the project from the company’s Cape Town office.

The awards programme recognises and promotes excellence in architecture, with the regional winners going on to compete nationally in the South African Institute of Architects awards next year.
