Tower Docks

The Tower Docks development comprises new offices, commercial facilities and a residential tower. It is located on the mainland of Venice (Mestre) north of Italy, on the banks of the Canal Salso.

The design of the building relates to the existing urban context of commercial and industrial spaces with a maximum height of 45 metres, while simultaneously creating a new contemporary architecture that creates a sense of connection between old and new.

The base of the building is a two-storey podium comprising parking, the boat sheltering business, a cafe and the main lobby entrance. The flat roof of the podium is used as green open space and platform for the new office towers above. The residential tower is sculptured to mimic the sails of a ship and their height allows views over Mestre, the surrounding countryside, and from the top, views of Venice and the Dolomite mountains.
