Spear REIT Limited required a new head office that would represent the company’s status as a sophisticated and established property management company. The space needed to instil confidence in clients and visitors, communicating professionalism, trustworthiness and a strong history within the industry. The design needed to clearly express the brand’s identity of reliability and sophistication through a refined and considered aesthetic.

A key priority was to create ample meeting and boardroom facilities located close to the main reception area. These spaces were specifically designed to reflect the importance and influence of SPEAR’s high net-worth clients.

The core design concept centred on discretion, status, durability and sophistication. The scheme was deliberately designed to differentiate between executive areas and the general open-plan workspace. Comfortable, well-appointed offices were designed for each of SPEAR’s executives. A discreet hospitality area is adjacent to these offices, where refreshments are prepared and served for visitors and executives. The open-plan office was designed to be highly functional comfortable for everyday operational use. A key client challenge was to ensure the office could accommodate future expansion and workflow overflow.

Materials were selected for their design integrity, longevity and tactile comfort, while also reinforcing the brand’s culture, context and values in an environment that feels prestigious but welcoming. High-quality timber and carefully sourced marble were used in areas requiring robust and refined surface finishes. Veneered joinery within executive offices enhance warmth and visual richness. Quality carpeting supports acoustic privacy and comfort, particularly within meeting and work areas.

A standout feature of the project is the custom-crafted brass company logo, etched and inserted as a plaque within the main reception foyer. This signature element creates a strong sense of arrival and serves as a subtle yet powerful brand statement, immediately setting the tone for the office experience.

The completed head office is an efficient and adaptable workspace. It emphasises the status of SPEAR’s clients while the open-plan layout accommodates both current operational needs and future growth.

The head office has become a point of pride for Spear REIT Limited, as a successful reflection of the company’s brand, professionalism and confidence in the built environment.
